Key Difference 1. Precise Targeting for Lentigo Lesions

Lentigo treatments are performed with precision.

755nm Alexandrite, effectively absorbed by melanin pigment and with stable skin penetration depth

Using laser equipment, we precisely target and manage dark and distinct lentigo areas.

Sometimes, in a two-stage process, Er:YAG Erbium YAG

laser is used together to delicately control even fine pigments remaining on the surface. Improvement can typically be expected with about 2-3 sessions, but individual differences may occur. Unnecessary repeated

treatments are reduced, and we help you achieve the desired changes through accurate diagnosis and planning.

Lentigo treatment places importance on a delicate treatment process.

Key Difference 2. Approach for Delicate Treatment

For the quality of our treatments, each doctor limits the number of clients treated per day. This is maintained at a lower level than the typical number of appointments in the same industry.

This is a decision made with the intention of providing ample time and focus to each patient.

This operating method ensures sufficient

explanation and allows for individualized treatment plans throughout the entire process of consultation, treatment, and aftercare. We can closely observe and reflect on the patient's skin condition and reactions,

ensuring ample time. Through this, we strive to increase treatment precision and ensure patients are more satisfied with the results. Rather than simple

repetitive treatments, we focus on meticulous care. We genuinely assess each patient's

skin condition.

Key Difference 3. Personalized Treatment Settings

We delicately adjust laser settings such as spot size, pulse energy, and fluence, comprehensively considering the patient's skin tone, lesion size and depth, and skin reactivity.

For instance, if the skin is fair and pigmentation is not deep,

we precisely irradiate using a fine spot size and concentrated energy on the lesion area,

whereas for darker skin tones with a potential for hyperpigmentation or sensitive skin, we aim to reduce the burden during treatment through fine-tuning of output power.

Such detailed laser settings are a crucial part that enhances the precision of the treatment, even when using the same equipment, helping patients expect better improvements.

Key Difference 4. Systematic Post-Treatment Recovery Management

The 755nm Alexandrite laser has properties effective for melanin pigment removal, so temporary redness may appear after treatment, or

the pigmentation in the treated area may temporarily appear darker. Therefore, regenerative care to aid recovery and UV protection are essential.

The degree of pain experienced during 755nm laser and Erbium YAG laser treatments may vary from patient to patient.

Therefore, you can fully discuss and decide on the necessity of applying anesthetic cream during a pre-treatment consultation.

After treatment, we provide care utilizing cooling therapy and Jauungo modeling masks, among others, to soothe reddened skin.

Additionally, we are careful to provide genuine DuoDerm to aid recovery and protect the skin from UV rays when outdoors.

Key Difference 5. Integrated Approach to Overall Pigmentation Concerns, Not Just Lentigo

Many patients who come for lentigo removal also have dermal pigmentation such as melasma. While it's possible to focus solely on lentigo, we believe that many patients desire improvement for all pigmented lesions that give the face an overall

uneven appearance.

After a detailed consultation with the patient using diagnostic devices, we analyze and classify the pigmentation distributed across the face. Based on this, we jointly decide on the treatment direction: whether to focus on epidermal pigmentation or to pursue a comprehensive treatment that balances overall pigmentation

control. Through this approach, we can help improve patients' complexions.

Causes of Lentigo

Solar Lentigo (sun spots) primarily appears as flat, brown pigmented lesions resulting from the combined effects of continuous exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light and the skin's aging process,

where melanocytes become overactive, causing more pigment than necessary to accumulate in specific skin areas.

This condition persists. Continuous exposure to UV light causes melanin production to continue without stopping, and as age

increases, the skin's regenerative capacity and pigment processing function decrease, leading to lentigo gradually becoming darker and wider. They mainly appear on areas such as the face, back of the hands, and arms, and their borders are usually

clear and the color is typically dark brown.

Distribution of Lentigines

Solar lentigines primarily

appear confined only to the epidermal layer of the skin (Epidermis),

especially when melanocytes in the basal layer (Basal layer) are stimulated by UV radiation, causing melanin pigment to

accumulate excessively in certain areas. Histopathological findings show excessive melanin deposited within the epidermis without deep penetration into the dermal layer,

and the borders with the surrounding normal skin are relatively distinct.

These lentigines respond well to 755nm

long-pulsed alexandrite laser treatment, which targets epidermal and superficial dermal pigment. Therefore, treatment plans should be differentiated from

melasma or complex pigmented lesions that affect deeper dermal layers.

Characteristics of 755nm Wavelength

The 755nm wavelength has a relatively high absorption rate for melanin pigment and is the main wavelength of the alexandrite laser, which safely penetrates the entire epidermal layer and the superficial dermal layer of the skin.

The 755nm laser, delivered in a long-pulsed manner, precisely controls time in milliseconds (ms) to deliver high-output energy to pigmented lesions. Melanocytes intensely absorb this light energy, converting it into thermal energy, which then effectively

breaks down the pigment particles. Some of the decomposed pigment undergoes natural metabolic processes on the skin's surface,

and is subtly shed with dead skin cells according to the skin regeneration cycle. Other portions may be

absorbed and excreted by macrophages within the body. As the destroyed pigment is gradually removed, you can expect visible improvement, with lentigines clearly fading or

disappearing.

Lentigo Treatment Process

While the 755nm alexandrite laser is a suitable wavelength for lentigo treatment,

the success of the procedure is important beyond simply using good equipment. Accurate skin diagnosis, personalized settings, and a systematic post-treatment regeneration program must be carried out together

to achieve satisfactory improvement.

Q&A

Q&A

고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.

What is the interval between treatments?

QnA

It is common to receive treatment with an interval of about 3 to 4 weeks. This period fully accounts for the skin's recovery and the gradual settling of pigmentation.

How many sessions are needed for lentigo treatment?

QnA

For treatments using a 755nm laser, many lentigos can expect some improvement with 1 to 2 sessions. However, depending on individual skin type, the depth or area of the lentigo, and typical sun exposure, 2 to 3 repeated sessions may be considered.

AFTERCARE GUIDE

Cautions

Results = Treatment × Aftercare. Please follow the notes below.

  • After the procedure, it is recommended to consistently apply sunscreen to reduce the possibility of hyperpigmentation and to avoid strong sun exposure.

  • Please be aware not to use irritating peeling agents or exfoliants on the skin for about 1 week after the procedure.

  • For about one week after the procedure, it is advisable to refrain from activities such as drinking alcohol, smoking, sauna, and strenuous exercise.
